Who untied you, Tompkins?

"Rowdy students are causing problems on buses. But whose job is it to control them?" asks the front page of the Guardian website.

If you read the story you find that it is not about students at all but schoolchildren. Perhaps this unwillingness to treat children as children is one of the causes of their bad behaviour?

As one of its "experts", the story quotes the director of "Belt Up School Kids". If the only way we can control our children these days is to tie them up, things are even worse than I thought.
